High-end headphone performance at entry-level prices
BlueTunes ROM is based on CSR's highly integrated BlueCore5-Multimedia device. This incorporates a 24-bit Kalimba DSP core with a RISC processor, stereo CODEC, Bluetooth 2.1 radio and integrated battery charger.
CSR's headphones design uses the 8x8 mm QFN packaged version of BlueTunes ROM and just a few additional components. This offers significant component savings compared with previous Flash-based solutions. Key features of BlueTunes ROM include:
- SBC and MP3* decoding
- Configurable audio 5 band EQ
- FastStream (low latency CODEC) for video and gaming applications
- Support for A2DP 1.2, RCP 1.0, HSP 1.0 and HFP 1.5 Bluetooth profiles including 3-way calling

- Superior audio quality (SNR= 95dB, THD+N = 0.008%)
- Best-in-class RF performance (receive sensitivity -90 dBm, transmit power +8dBm)
