CSR Indian Social Responsibility: Chiguru 2011
CSR Bangalore sponsored an event called Chiguru 2011 and this was an opportunity for children from government and informal schools to showcase their cultural talents.
Children from 21 schools participated in 11 events which included essay writing, painting, yoga, drama, dance competitions and singing. Around 1200 school children participated from various schools.
Two volunteers from CSR - Anoop Nair & Visweswara Tanuku assisted the other volunteers from different organisations and ensured that everything was in place and all the children received school kits for participating in the event, which included a writing pad, ruler, crayons, pencil and a sharpener.
Harsha Rajashekar representing CSR gave a welcome speech to the audience & the children and lit the Diya (lamp), initiating the event.
