CSR India Social Responsibility: Samvruddi Education Society
Some employees from CSR Bangalore joined together to donate their personal computers to poor and needy students of Samvruddi Education Society. The society started in 1989 with like minded people to help deprived and deserted women, orphans and less fortunate children in society. Many children have benefitted through the society over the years. The Bangalore team's main goal was to expand access to computers, technologies and the internet. Their desire was to help students enhance the quality of education and increase opportunities for young people, their families and the community, to overcome poverty and lead more fulfilling lives.
The Computer Centre we set up at SRGVVK Trust School is now operational and five computers are now in use. Apart from donation of computers, we were able to provide writing boards and computer tables. We have also sponsored the education of ten children.
