Flexible solution
BlueCore4, with error-correcting eSCO support, offers a high-quality and upgradeable solution for hands-free systems. Using BlueCore4-Flash Plug-n-Go, and the BlueLab SDK, developers are free to create the exact solution they require.

Flexible solution with DSP
 BlueCore5-Multimedia with its on-chip DSP provides developers with the option of a single-chip Bluetooth® platform capable of performing echo/noise suppression. On-chip application software development: BlueLab.

Lowest-cost solution
For a system with host controller and stack, hands-free solutions may be implemented using the EDR-equipped BlueCore4-ROM Plug-n-Go. It incorporates an HCI interface Bluetooth stack; with the addition of BCHS software for the host controller CSR offers a complete solution.

Automotive temperatures and qualifications

  • CSR BlueCore devices operate over -40 to +85°C
  • CSR automotive solutions are qualified to AEC-Q100

CSR offers all the key automotive Bluetooth Profiles for either standalone single-chip applications, or host-controlled applications.

 

Ready-to-use/adapt design for a
hands-free kit

CSR offers a versatile reference design for hands-free applications called RoadRunner Plug-n-Talk. This device is aimed at low cost portable kits providing the end user with Bluetooth hands-free calling capability, via a plug-in (vehicle powered) form factor. Everything needed to create a state-of-the-art hands free kit is included in the development package. This design - based on the BlueCore3-Multimedia device with onchip DSP and CODEC - provides all the elements needed to take an idea into production in the shortest period of time by using as it is, or adapting it to meet specific needs. The inclusion of CVC noise and echo suppression ensures enhanced voice quality. In addition, a text-to-speech (TTS) demonstration is provided by NowSpeak Technologies - which provides voice prompts for operations including the ID of the incoming caller.
