BlueCore6-ROM incorporates an improved radio, offering the best link budget on the Bluetooth market.  The QFN-packaged variant of the device offers an output power of +10 dBm, and receive sensitivity of -90 dBm. This assures developers of superb communications quality and range that will exceed user expectations. 

In particular, the QFN-packaged BlueCore6 provides Class 1 Bluetooth performance without a power amplifier (saving space and around 50 cents in cost). This feature assures users of good performance even in difficult operating environments.

One potential application is good performance in 'across the body' scenarios, with a user wearing a headset but communicating with a cellphone located on the other side of their body, or in some more remote location.
