BlueCore7 development tools

CSR has produced example design boards for the three BGA, CSP, WLCSP BlueCore7 packages that provide access to all of the device's pins. These boards plug into the Casira development system.

Development software support includes:

• BlueSuite - for HCI/RFCOMM interfaced applications including drivers, data/voice/file transfer set up, tests
• BTCli (Bluetooth client) - a PC based application controlling the device's Bluetooth functionality
• FMCli (FM client) - a PC based application controlling the device's FM radio functionality

To aid development, BlueCore7 incorporates a unique low pin count (LPC) interface to Flash memory, allowing code the be developed and run as if it were in the read only memory, before the production mask is produced.

Further variants of BlueCore7 will follow this initial ROM version, to support additional applications.
