CSR (and Ryan Seacrest?) at Telematics Detroit 2011

June 8th marks the start of Telematics Detroit, 2011.  This event, growing in scale and influence each year, brings together individuals from many organizations that comprise the automotive ecosystem – including OEMs, device manufactures, auto makers and software and application developers.  This year’s event will also be visited by American Idol host, Ryan Seacrest.  Seriously.  As the host of the event’s industry award gala, Ryan Seacrest is sure to wow the audience with his insights into the evolving and growing telematics market….. or maybe he’ll just wow with his proven ability to host a show.  Either way, it proves to be entertaining for those in attendance!  (TBD if karaoke will be involved.)

Back to the serious business though.  Over the course of two days, attendees will have a chance to interact with over 800 senior level executives and will have the opportunity to gain insight from the speeches of over one hundred industry leaders.   This week will also generate a lot of industry news as leading companies announce new products and other exciting developments.  Speaking of leading companies, the CSR contingent will be strong in Detroit this year with a number of senior executives attending.  We’ve also got a booth with a number of compelling demonstrations on display.  And speaking of exciting products and developments, CSR preceded this show with three press releases.

I will let you read the details of each announcement in our newsroom, but with them, CSR has further established its position as a leader in the navigation, infotainment and telematics markets.  By adding Wi-Linx and GSD4e-9500 to its already extensive portfolio, CSR is able to deliver a technologically innovative and complete platform solution that is able to address all of our customer’s location and connectivity needs.  The adoption of our GPS, Wi-Fi, and BT technology by a leader like Renesas provides evidence supporting this statement, and further cements CSR’s long-standing reputation for quality, innovation, and service in the automotive space.

There will be much more news about CSR and the telematics segment to come this week, so please return to this blog for day by day updates on Telematics Detroit.  I am in Detroit, excited to be at this show for the first time, and look forward to sharing my first-hand observations and thoughts on the experience.  For those at the show, feel free to stop by the CSR booth, say hello to myself or any of the other attendees, and check out some of our exciting demos.
