This was the biggest summit that the UK government has ever held and formed part of the London 2012 Olympics.  It brought together business leaders from all over the world as part of the UK government initiative to stimulate and create a digital economy leveraging Hi-Tech.

The summit was opened by George Osborne (Chancellor of the Exchequer for the UK ) and was followed by speeches from Ian Livingstone (CEO of BT), Hermann Hauser (Partner Amadeus Capital) and Mark Thompson (Director General of the BBC)

I gave a keynote speech in the afternoon session as part of a breakout session on Smart Infrastructure and the Digital Economy. In this session we presented and discussed some of the challenges and opportunities that will exist for us all as the global urban population rises to unprecedented levels whilst the demands for increased data, smart and relevant information continue to increase at an enormous rate.

In my keynote, I spoke about the opportunities that exist for companies that leverage indoor location and I talked about some of our initiatives related to Governments, Enterprise, M2M and finally the Retail and Consumers sectors.

Having the ability to find a position indoors is become increasingly relevant. I also took this opportunity to share some of the technological developments happening in indoor locations across the industry and specifically, why CSR, with our solution offers better scope to scale across many platforms due to its ability to be “self learning and self correcting” without the need to deploy an expensive infrastructure.
