View Vacancy The primary role of the Senior Software Engineer, within the CSR Connectivity Engineering team, is to develop software reference designs for CSR’s range of wireless chips embedded within the companies platforms, and undertake similar early adoption custom development work with of CSR’s lead customers. Develop host software based on Open Source or CSR (known as Synergy) software solutions written in a high level language such as C, C++, Java etc. Some use may be made of scripting languages such as perl and python. Take ownership of key technology components and be responsible for improving system related KPI’s agreed with the group leader/programme manager. This role requires you to work with minimal supervision and involves the mentoring. It also involves working closely with various teams within CSR’s core R&D group as well as regional development teams to ensure KPI’s are met and maintained throughout the development process. Provide support and training to our lead customers, regional FAE (Field Application Engineering) teams and other members of the development group to ensure CSR’s customers receive quality advice and support for key performance issues. Assist marketing with technical support. The role facilitates the customer development process by ensuring that customers’ technical requirements are met. This is achieved through working with marketing and customers to identify their technical specifications, advising them on implementation issues, testing scenarios that concern their projects and validating CSR’s software deliverables within the scope of their project.
