I work in the Characterisation team where I started as a graduate 6 years ago and these days combine my role with being a 'Tech Authority' on CSR chip projects. One of the things which makes working at CSR an enjoyable experience is how supportive the company is of its employees' personal development. CSR really is a place where you can learn as you work and I've taken a number of training courses during my time here as well as all the stuff I've learned through my work - some of my colleagues are even doing Degrees and PhDs! Over the years I've worked with much more than just Bluetooth and my work has taken me through many radio technologies including FM, WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth Low Energy and GPS and through a few cultures and countries too. Working at CSR has allowed me to develop my skills and direct my career in the way that I wanted to and that's why I'd recommend it.
I have spent over 15 years in the Semiconductor industry across the globe. I am a member of the Bluetooth Low Energy Marketing team. I am responsible for ensuring that our customer, the developer, has the best out-of-box experience. In other words we ensure we have the right elements in our products, resources and support structure in place to get our developers up and running with CSR’s Bluetooth Low Energy. Being part of a team that works with technology that is cutting edge and responsible for some of the most innovative products in the market is incredibly exciting. Especially when you get to “test” the new product! Having global responsibility is a challenge but it is made easier in that CSR has a company culture of helping and nurturing so no matter what the question or time zone I am working in I know I can always count on a colleague to give me some guidance.
Managing the BT and Wi-Fi applications team is hugely challenging with constant changes of direction and priority due to being heavily customer facing, but over the last two years I have learnt a huge amount and had the opportunity to work with a great team and that’s both my immediate team and the wider community at CSR. It’s a great place to work!
I work in the IS Operations department and I am the business analyst working with the PMO to implement the Oracle Agile system, which has been chosen to manage CSR’s product portfolio. I started working at CSR in 2010. After a short spell away in 2012, I re-joined CSR in July 2013 and have not looked back. Throughout my time at CSR I have had the opportunity to work with great people; for me this is a big benefit, I believe it’s the people that make CSR such a great place to work. IS project work can involve foreign travel and I have been fortunate enough to visit CSR’s offices in China and Germany, this was a great experience and I would encourage anybody who has the chance to go for it! A normal day for me is always varied; spending my time between meetings and back at the desk working by myself and with other IS team members to deliver solutions for the PMO. Having the latest technologies available at CSR means that we can deliver business solutions that will last well into the future. For me a career at CSR is a challenging and rewarding time and one in which you can get yourself involved in so many different things, I recommend it!
I’ve been at CSR for two years and it has been fantastic. I work as an office coordinator within the business group, looking after a large team including three VP’s. I help to arrange travel for the team, set up meetings, liaise with the teams in our offices from around the world and most recently, attend trade shows in Berlin and Las Vegas. CSR is really great at helping you to develop your strengths and skills. As a keen photographer, I have been asked to photograph events such as demo days, trade shows, analyst days and also portraits for portals. Everyone at CSR is so friendly. I felt really welcome as soon as I walked through the door on my first day.
I joined CSR as IS Business Systems Manager. Right from the start I’ve found the people I work with very welcoming and approachable and easy to work with at all levels of the organisation. The area I work in has a high volume of projects on the go but there is an understanding of priority and capacity by the people that I work with which ensures realistic expectations of what is achievable and by when.
In the fast moving technology sector that CSR is in, there is never a dull day working here. I work closely with my line manager and other finance managers to ensure the smooth financial running of the company, and though I’ve only been here a month at CSR, I have felt completely welcomed into the team. CSR has also given me the opportunity to study for my CIMA qualification which will undoubtedly increase my future potential as an employee. CSR provides its employee’s with an abundance of social activities to get involved with, which is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals. I particularly enjoy seeing the end products that CSR are placed in. It’s a fantastic company to work for and I look forward to working here whilst its success continues to increase.
I have been working for CSR since October 2013, as an IS Project Manager. In my role, I am involved with a wide variety of applications and technologies, interacting with many colleagues across multiple departments. CSR is an international company which I have found to be very dynamic and friendly. I really enjoy that the company keeps us up to date with news about the latest commercial devices from top brands and new applications that use the CSR products. It is very exciting to be involved in a very successful company that develops products at the cutting edge of the latest technologies.
