Senior Engineer, Field Applications

Job Purpose
The role holder will carry out navigation system development autonomously to integrate CSR software/hardware products into customers' personal navigation systems in a most appropriate way and provide on/off-site technical support from design-in to production phase of customer project. Generally involved in new platform development where established GPS platform development skills are required and developed through significant periods of practice.
Researching GPS market demands from the field and gathering customer’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate CSR GPS products into customer’s platform
- Port CSR GPS hardware and software on customer’s navigation device
- Field issue trouble shooting for global customers
- Provide technical training for customer engineers in CSR GPS products
- Communicate regularly with R&D, BU engineers and customers providing effective customer support
- Communicate regularly with BU marketing for creating customer support plans to satisfy customer requirements
Person Spec
Required
- Experience in AGPS industry over 5 years
- High level C, C++ programming skills
- Basic knowledge of HW schematics
- Deep knowledge in Windows Embedded CE
- Basic knowledge of Multi-media codecs
- Good knowledge in GPS system
- Good knowledge in Android Platform
- Fluent spoken and written English
Desired
- Practical product development and system architecture design embedded system experience with ARM core CPU
- GPS system development experience using CSR, Qualcomm or any of other vendor products
- Experience with commercial or manufacturing support PND or PMP development
- Fully capable of using oscilloscope / Spectrum Analyzer / GPS Simulator
- Fully understand GPS Technology (Navigation, DGPS, AGPS)
- Fully understand Multimedia Codec Technology (Navigation, DGPS, AGPS)
- Experience in various navigation platforms
- Product development experience using Microsoft Visual studio or any of equivalent C/C++ compiler for PC
- Fully understand the mechanism of serial communication schemes such as UART / SPI / I2C / USB / SDIO
- Work experience in foreign company in Korea with frequent communication with head quarter
- Worked with a CSR partner company in GPS technology
