BlueCore™ devices incorporate an onchip RISC microcontroller, allowing highly cost-effective 'hostless' single-chip Bluetooth® solutions to be developed for applications such as:
- Wireless headsets for mobile phones and VoIP
- Hands-free systems for automotive applications
- RS232 cable replacement applications
- HID devices: wireless mice, keyboards etc
- Stereo headsets for music phones, MP3 players and games machines
- Audio adapters to allow wireless streaming of audio from any music source
CSR has solutions to support all these projects.
BlueLab is a general-purpose SDK that can be used for any Bluetooth application, providing the upper (above HCI) layers of the stack and a library of Profiles that can be called by applications. BlueLab includes the latest pre-production firmware and profiles as well as simple example applications. Bluelab also includes support for DSP applications (where supported by the BlueCore) such as audio codecs and display drivers.
CSR also develops application specific BlueLab SDKs for many Bluetooth applications including Mono Headsets, Stereo Headsets, Audio Adapters and Car Kits. These SDKs include complete application code with the relevant libraries and production level firmware. The SDKs are typically tested with over 100 devices and the test reports are provided with the SDK. CSR’s application-specific SDKs are available to BlueLab customers and can be downloaded from www.csrsupport.com
