An extensive range of development tools are available to support BlueCore™ Bluetooth® applications. This page introduces the main choices. Follow the links, or contact your local CSR office to find out in detail what is available to support your target application:
| Example designs for major applications |
Cellphones, PDAs ... |
Custom design |
| Headsets/headphones CSR offers ready-to-apply designs based on BlueCore4-Headset (a programmed BlueCore4-Audio ROM) and BlueCore3-Multimedia. Custom designs may be developed using the BlueLab SDK. |
Development of BlueCoreX-ROM Casira™ provides an evaluation tool for ROM-based designs. Reference designs for cellphones/PDAs are available. |
Casira general-purpose development system Casira™ is CSR's evaluation and development tool for applications not covered by example designs or ready-programmed BlueCore devices. Purchase grants access to the resources available on www.csrsupport.com - such as reference designs. |
| PC wireless peripherals BlueICE software allows wireless peripherals to be bundled as standard with PC shipments. Bluetooth keyboards and mice can then be used during boot-up, before the operating system loads, negating the need for a reserve wired keyboard. |
Easy-retrofit cellphone solutions These ready-to-apply solutions are based on either the ROM-equipped BlueCore2-Audio or BlueCore3-ROM devices, for which CSR provides ready-written application code. |
BlueLab SDK for single-chip applications BlueCore devices incorporate a RISC microcontroller, allowing highly cost-effective 'deeply embedded' single-chip Bluetooth solutions to be developed for simple embedded applications using this software development kit. |
| Other example designs and BlueCore firmware CSR has ready-engineered designs for many other major Bluetooth applications including:
|
Upper Bluetooth stack and Profiles CSR Synergy provides the upper protocol stack layers plus a large library of Profiles - providing a complete system software solution for host-interfaced applications such as cellphones and PDAs. |
|
| Portable device operating systems Ready-to-use software for Linux and Win CE |
