CSR Singapore supports MINDS

CSR Singapore has been working closely with the Movement for Intellectually Disabled of Singapore MINDS.  In conjuncture with the east coast project charity, CSR Singapore are really keen to improve the quality of lives for the intellectually disabled children of Singapore.

This collaboration saw MINDS and employees from CSR Singapore attended a day at the Singapore Science Centre in Jurong.

The Science Center contains exhibits ranging from the “History of Flight” movie experiences to demonstrations of Tesla’s coils, progression of robotic engineering, principles of sound, mechanical engineering and space exhibition.

Twenty children ranging from ages 8 to 15 turned up to the exhibition and were enthralled by the diversity and interactive engagement with the exhibitions. The sound exhibition made for a particularly interesting experience!  The children colluded to provide us with a cacophony of noise provided by an interesting mix of gramophone to CD quality music mixed with the range of gongs and twining noises made from metallic, string and percussion devices.

The children were really engaged and asked some very probing and difficult questions!  An excellent day out and many thanks to everyone involved from the CSR team.
