- Support for Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR with secure simple pairing
- Software solution to enable a TrueWireless Stereo application based on BlueCore5™-Multimedia
- Master device maintains proprietary synchronisation between master and slave at all times
- Support for HSP v1.1 and HFP v1.5
- CVC support for echo and noise reduction
- Support for SBC and MP3* decoders
The TrueWireless™ embedded software application addresses the booming market for Bluetooth®-enabled wireless headsets and speakers, achieving an entirely wireless solution between separate stereo channels and devices.
The master speaker receives audio from a connected AV source and relays audio to the slave speaker, while implementing CSR’s proprietary synchronisation protocol to achieve a truly wireless stereo experience. The TrueWireless Stereo™ application is compatible with all existing AV sources that support the A2DP profile for advanced audio.
Audio Streaming
- Maintains proprietary synchronisation between audio channels at all times to reduce jitter
- Support for SBC and MP3* decoders
Bluetooth Qualification
- TrueWireless Stereo solution works with existing music sources and can be Bluetooth qualified for A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP
Development Hardware
- Development Board: DEV-PC-1645B BlueCore5-Multimedia which can be used for software development
The Software Development Kit includes:
- Fully interoperability tested software solution for stereo headsets or speakers
- Supports stereo synchronisation between left and right audio channels
- Support for SBC and MP3 decoders*
- Ability to customise the solution with minor software modifications.
- Automatic pairing with most devices
- Automatic reconnection to previously paired Bluetooth headsets on power on
- Support for 1-mic and 2-mic CVC algorithms for echo cancellation and noise reduction
- Support for A2DP v1.2 and AVRCP v1.0 profiles
- Support for HSP v1.1 and HFP v1.5
The TrueWireless Stereo application can be configured to differentiate the user interface to meet individual customer design requirements. This can be done by running the application on a DEV-PC-1645B development boards and using the TrueWireless Stereo SDK to implement the required features.
CVC™ 1-mc and 2-mic algorithms require a license key to work in production devices.
* MP3 support requires an appropriate license from Thomson.
