Description

SupraHD^® 675 DVB-T/C reference design is a complete hardware and software solution for building1080P flat-panel digital televisions targeted for the European market. The reference TV application software complies with the DVB-T broadcast standard.

The reference design is a full-featured 1080P FPD TV system that allows tuning, decoding, and displaying of digital terrestrial and cable (DVB-T/C) and analog (PAL) broadcasts. At the heart of the reference hardware board is the SupraHD^® 675 DTV System IC.

This chip is highly integrated, consisting of a H.264/MPEG-2 decoder, European digital and analog demodulator, PAL video decoder, triple HDMI 1.3 interface, dual high performance CPUs and dedicated audio DSP, powerful graphics engine, video scaler, video enhancement processing, LVDS driver and various other peripherals necessary for building a DTV.

The reference hardware module accepts traditional video equipment interfaces, such as composite (CVBS), S-video (Y/C), component (YPbPr), SCART (CVBS, RGB), as well as more advanced interfaces, such as HDMI from Blu Ray or DVD players. The reference hardware module can directly drive an LCD panel, output L/R audio to its internal speakers and SPDIF multi-channel output to an external audio receiver.
