BlueCore™5 provides a single-chip solution that directly addresses the vision for the Bluetooth® industry. Fabricated in 0.13micron CMOS, die size is 40% smaller than BlueCore4, providing exceptional economy and power-efficiency for mass applications. Performance is enhanced, and includes EDR, plus a host of detail improvements such as an improved radio, more memory, and integral DC-DC converter and battery charging circuitry. Supports the next Bluetooth specification (2.1 - due to be ratified early 2007), which will improve usability with the Secure Simple Pairing feature, improved quality audio streams, as well as enhanced security and privacy.

BlueCore5-FM - exceptionally economic single-chip solution with onchip microcontroller, 6Mbits ROM, and an embedded FM radio with RDS demodulator. Allows cellphone manufacturers to add FM reception at very low cost (and with no interference problems).
